Stiff Goldenrod, Oligoneuron rigidum


Stiff goldenrod is a versatile and hearty resident of many prairies. Its characteristic flat topped flower makes it easy to distinguish from other goldenrods. Not only does it produce prolific blossoms that are almost always covered with pollinators, it puts on a stunning show in the fall. its leaves turn a wonderful range of colors form burgandy to orange. Tolerant of many soil types it goes well with other mid to late bloomers like New England, smooth, and sky-blue asters.
